Maitland Maroon and Gold are also running second and third in the under-15 competition with a game in hand to top of the table Tamworth Blue.
The Maroon teams are the upper-age level sides in each tier with the Gold teams having another year at the level.
In the Under-17 Coi Dent Shield, Maitland Maroon has three wins from three games to lead the table on 19 points from Inverell with 15 points from four games.
Coalfields are third with 14 points from two wins and a draw. Maitland Gold are fifth with nine points from one win, a draw and one loss.
In the Under-15 John Kilborn Shield, Tamworth Blue has 28 points from four wins and a draw, followed by Maitland Maroon on 20 points from three wins and a loss and Maitland Gold on 16 points from two wins and two losses.
Coalfields are fourth with 10 points from one win and three losses.
In the Under-13 George Denton Shield, Maitland Maroon are undefeated after five games and sit on top of the table with 32 points. They received bonus points for their round two and three wins against Tamworth Gold and Gunnedah respectively.
Tamworth Blue are second on 30 points with four wins, a draw and a loss from six games. They are followed by Armidale on 21 points from three wins and two losses.
Maitland Gold are fourth on 19 points with two wins, a draw and three losses from their six games.
In games on the weekend, Maitland Gold under-13s (88) were defeated by Coalfields (9/89). Charlie Lovegrove was Maitland Gold's best top scoring with 16 and taking 3-8. H Gurr made 14.
Riley Brown picked up 3-8 and made 15 for Coalfields, while Koby Follan picked up 3-28. Lochie Leonard top scored with 17 and Max Clark was unbeaten on 16.
Maitland Maroon did not play.
In the under-15s, Maitland Maroons defeated Coalfields at Bolwarra Oval and Maitland Gold were defeated by Tamworth Blue at Coronation Oval.
Will Parkinson starred with 86 and Darcy Emmett was 43 not out as Maitland Maroon posted 8/231 off their 50 overs on the way to a 153-run victory. Aiden Gibson led the Coalfields attack taking 5-40 and Jarryd Moore took 3-30.
Coalfields were bundled out for 78. Oscar Vaughan the only batsman to reach double figures making 29 not out.
Maitland Gold's total of 159 was not enough against top of the table Tamworth Blue. Harrison Dunn top scored with 46 and Charlie Cotten made 29.
Tamworth Blue posted 2/161 in reply reaching their target with 13 overs to spare.
There were no games in under-17s with round five this Sunday pitting Maitland Gold against Coalfields at Cook Park in Singleton and Maitland Maroon hosting Tamworth at Robins Oval.
There have been some outstanding individual performances across all age groups.
