From Sunday, January 9 to Thursday, February 24 Transport for NSW will continue work delayed by weather, which includes replacing sections of the concrete surface to provide a stronger, smoother road.
Work will move gradually along the New England Highway between George Street at East Maitland and Cessnock Road at Maitland, with lane closures remaining in place at night.
In other news:
Work will be carried out from Sunday to Thursday nights from 7pm to 5am and is expected to be completed in seven weeks, weather permitting.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
