A man has been arrested and charged with historical sexual assault offences following an investigation that spanned multiple decades.

At least 10 women were allegedly assaulted in Sydney's Moore Park and inner-west areas between 1991 and 1993.
The incidents caused the media to dub the offender the "Moore Park Rapist" or "Night Stalker".
Police previously established a task force to investigate the alleged assaults but no one was convicted.
More than 30 years later, forensic teams established a new initiative to review historic sexual assaults using modern DNA and fingerprint technologies.
The original task force investigation was re-examined and detectives arrested a 60-year-old man at Sydney International Airport on Thursday.
The man was taken to Mascot police station, where he was charged with 33 offences against eight of the 10 alleged victims.
Charges include aggravated sexual assault, indecent assault, assault causing actual bodily harm, detaining for advantage, robbery with an offensive weapon and attempted sexual assault.
He was refused bail and was expected to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday.
