The pursuit began after police patrolling Leggetts Drive, Pelaw Main, saw a Hyundai Elantra with expired registration travelling north about 4.40pm.
Police tried to stop the Hyundai, but engaged the pursuit when the driver failed to stop.
The pursuit continued through Kurri Kurri, before the car turned onto a bush track off Embelton Road.
The car stopped when it came to a section of road that was blocked by logs.
When police tried to open the driver's door, the woman allegedly reversed the Hyundai into the front of the highway patrol car.
Police allegedly found a small amount of cannabis in the 24-year-old's pocket while they were arresting her.
Inquiries revealed the woman had previously been disqualified from driving until 2017.
She was taken to Maitland police station and charged with driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered/uninsured vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs and possession of a prohibited drug.
Police also charged the 24-year-old with driving in a dangerous manner, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and damaging property.
She was granted conditional bail and will appear at Maitland Local Court on March 24.
