Lovedale Road residents want action after a fatal crash near the railway underpass at Allandale on Saturday, which claimed the life of police Sergeant Geoffrey Richardson.

Residents say the incident came after a cement truck roll-over and motorcycle crash earlier this year.
They are calling for the road to be made safer before another tragedy strikes.
Cathy and Henry Cattell have lived near the bend for about six years.
Mr Cattell was among the first on the scene when Sergeant Richardson died on Saturday.
Mrs Cattell placed the Triple Zero call.
"[Accidents happen] way too often along here," Mrs Cattell said.
"It was peaceful and quiet along here but now that they've put the [Hunter Expressway] in, this is as bad as the New England Highway.”
Mrs Cattell said the area became pitch dark at night because of a lack of lighting along the road.
"There needs to be a sign with warning lights," she said.
"You can't see your hand in front of your face at night.
"It's a prominent situation that can be solved very simply."
Mr Cattell said the camber of the road along the bend was part of the reason for the crashes.
He said a guard rail needed to be installed along the stretch of road.
"If they hit the guard rail, they may survive - they'll miss the tree," Mr Cattell said.
