Earlier this year council engaged professional photographer Paul Foley for the program.
The program includes a series of themed photoshoots, guest curation of the #mymaitland Instagram account, photo walks in which members of the public could participate and an exhibition of a selection of the images taken during the program.
The aim of the exhibition is to activate the space in which it is installed and to increase awareness and use of the mymaitland hashtag on social media.
The exhibition’s launch will coincide with Maitland Aroma Festival from August 5 to September 4.
Maitland council’s Marketing Manager Rachel MacLucas, said the library provides the opportunity for large scale images to be installed, generating a high level of awareness of the exhibition and placing a spotlight on the library precinct.
