The chase came to an abrupt end when a car left the road and hit a home on the corner of a suburban intersection.
Central Hunter police were conducting random breath tests when a white Ford Falcon allegedly failed to stop. The police took pursuit and the vehicle continued into the intersection of Chelmsford and Schanck Drive, where the driver lost control and hit a home.
The vehicle caused significant damage to the house, which was vacant at the time of the crash. No one was injured.
A 22-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Maitland Police Station. She was later charged with Skye’s Law, driving while disqualified, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and possessing implements relating to weapons.
