Council planning officers recommended an application for a carport, laundry, storage shed and gym at Raworth Avenue, Raworth be approved at last night’s council meeting.
Following an address in public access by an adjoining resident, Cr Steve Procter moved for a deferral so councillors could inspect the site, speak to the applicant and surrounding neighbours.
Resident Paula Goodwin said the shed proposed for the site was bigger than her house and the removal of trees which currently screen tennis court lights, would result in lights shining onto her property. A report will be prepared by planners.
