“I want to pay tribute to the firefighters of NSW who have been battling fires around Port Stephens and Cessnock,” Mr Turnbull said on ABC’s AM program on Monday morning.
He urged people to follow the instructions of emergency workers.
“We owe so much to the courage, professionalism and dedication of the firefighters,” he said.
