Police, community members, service providers and political representatives met in the town last week to discuss strategies to improve safety and security at Woodberry.
Maitland MP Jenny Aitchison organised the meeting after reports of increasing anti-social behaviour in the area recently.
“I was inspired to see so many people come along to the Woodberry meeting with such constructive and positive ideas for improving the lives of everyone in their community,” she said.
Ms Aitchison said she hoped to hold an evening gathering to discuss progress on the issue soon.
