Principal Jonathan Ridgway said the generous gift enabled the school to purchase the jerseys, which will be used when Beresfield plays in the upcoming Public Schools Sports Association (PSSA), an interschool sports knockout.
“The kids love them, and we all know that when you look the part, you feel the part – hopefully this points to some good results later this year,” Mr Ridgway said.
The school will field teams in girls and boys soccer, netball and rugby league from term two, as well as contesting the Reg Kelly Shield in cricket. Mr Ridgway thanked the school’s P and C committee and Beresfield Bowling Club for their help.
