A Metford man has been charged over a string of shoplifting incidents including the theft of six vacuums from Big W Green Hills.

Maitland Police arrested a 32-year-old man on Friday and charged him with larceny and other offences relating to two outstanding arrest warrants.
Police have linked the man with thefts from Toys R Us and Harvey Norman at Rutherford, Bunnings Heatherbrae and JB Hifi, Sunglass Hut and Big W at Green Hills over the last month.
In the incident at Big W, six vacuums worth $3600 were removed from a display on May 14. Police seized two vacuums during a raid on a Metford home last Wednesday.
Other items police claim were stolen include a drone from Toys R Us on May 7, and a portable power packet, a mini drone and three sets of headphones from JB Hifi on May 10.
The man was refused bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court on Saturday.
Police inquiries are continuing.
