According to the Bureau of Meteorology, there is a high chance of showers about the Lower Hunter on Monday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Maitland can expect showers and a top of 17 degrees, followed by another rainy day on Wednesday and a top of 19 degrees.
Rain is likely to decrease on Thursday, with a 50 per cent chance of rain, leading into a partly cloudy day on Friday.
Cessnock will share a similar lot, with a 90 per cent chance of showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday will likely have a maximum of 20 degrees and a possible shower.
Friday in Cessnock is also likely to be partly cloudy.
There is a very high chance of showers in Newcastle for the remainder of Monday, with south to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h winds.
Showers on Tuesday will accompany a maximum of 17 degrees and a minimum of 11 degrees.
It is anticipated Wednesday will be slightly warmer for Novacastrians, with a top of 19 degrees, but the rain is expected to continue.
On Thursday and Friday, a maximum of 20 degrees and only a slight chance of showers is likely for the city.
In the Upper Hunter, some rain is expected, though less than further south.
Singleton residents can expect a shower or two on Monday afternoon, followed by an 80 per cent chance of showers on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, there will be areas of morning fog about the Upper Hunter, with a very high chance of showers at Singleton.
The town is likely to experience a partly cloudy Thursday and Friday.
Muswellbrook’s chance will increase as the week progresses, peaking at a 70 per cent chance of a shower or two on Wednesday.
It is unlikely Muswellbrook will have rain on Thursday or Friday, with both days predicted to be partly cloudy.
Scone has a 60 per cent chance of a shower or two on Tuesday and Wednesday.
It is expected to be cloudy on Thursday, with areas of morning fog.
On Friday, residents can expect a 20 per cent chance of rain and a top of 20 degrees.
