On Thursday, John and Lani Elsley opened their latest venture El’ Chapos.
It’s only a few doors down from their popular restaurant and bar The Whistler, but they insist it will bring a new flavour to the High Street food scene.
The Mexican cuisine fans spent about three months finalising their menu to make it as authentic as possible.
“We quite like Mexican food ourselves, having traveled to Mexico before,” Mrs Elsley said.
“We just saw a bit of hole in the market two doors down from what we were already doing.”
Whether you want to grab a bite on the go in their downstairs diner, or sit and enjoy the atmosphere at their upstairs restaurant, you’ll find something to suit your style.
The small bar upstairs is also available for functions.
The Mexican beers, cocktails and tequila will be flowing at El Chapos launch party on Friday from 6pm.
All are welcome to join the fiesta.
