The application, from infrastructure and development group Lendlease, would see 14 independent units built including 10 two bedroom units and four three bedrooms units.
The works would also include tree removal, construction of a two-way lane way connecting to Illalaung Drive, and upgrade of the south eastern portion of the Illalaung Drive.
“The proposal represents the next stage of the ongoing heritage conservation and adaptive reuse of the Morpeth House Heritage Estate,” a statement of environmental impacts said.
“The independent living units will increase the seniors housing supply to assist meeting the needs of the growing ageing population within the Maitland LGA.”
The public exhibition period will end on January 19, 2019.
