It comes after fire permits were suspended on Thursday and Friday, with the fire danger in the area rated as very high.
Deputy captain Josh Harris said it was a reminder for people to check their bush fire survival plan, and to keep checking for fire danger updates.
“There is definitely potential for us to see elevated fire danger over the coming days and it is very important for people to remain up to date on each days fire danger,” he said.
“The fire danger for the following day is released through the afternoon, but it is important to continue checking it as if conditions deteriorate the fire danger can be updated through the day.”
Over the weekend, the mercury will rise in Maitland with Saturday ranging between 35 and 40 degrees during the day.
Sunday will be identical with the temperature ranging between 35 degrees and 41.
“The most important thing over the coming days is for people to go over their bush fire survival plan with their family so everyone is aware of what they will do if there is a fire,” Mr Harris said.
“If they don’t have a plan they can get in touch with any Rural Fire Brigade and we will assist them.
“If they are planning to stay and defend their house if their is a fire they need to be well prepared with clean gutters, plenty of hoses, long sleeved clothing, masks or wet towels to protect their airway, gloves and a clear strategy of how they plan to defend the house.”
