The Seven Network program, hosted by former test cricketer Mike Whitney, was filmed in the area over two days in April.
A Seven spokesperson said the filming was part of a Destination NSW special for areas north of Sydney.
"Maitland and Morpeth were both featured and the Sydney Weekender crew said the locals were incredibly helpful and hospitable," the spokesperson said.
"We have filmed in the area many times before but this week a particular highlight was the way the area looked at this time of year."
Trevor Richards from Campbells Store, Morpeth said host Whitney was taken aback with Morpeth's progress. He last visited the village 21 years ago.
His return visit focused on Morpeth Ginger Beer Factory, Morpeth Gourmet Food and Morpeth Gallery.
"Mike was very relaxed and friendly during filming - he has quite an outgoing personality," Mr Richards said.
