Six businesses located in the Hunter winery area are among the finalists for the prestigious 2019 NSW Tourism Awards, acknowledging the exceptional quality of tourism operators across NSW. Celebrating its 30th year in 2019, the NSW Tourism Awards attracted nearly 150 entrants across 26 categories, representing a diverse range of businesses. The winery region businesses that were nominated are: Beyond Ballooning, Lovedale; Brokenwood Wines cellar door; Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley; Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular; Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association for its 'Here's to the Good Life' Campaign; and Margan Wines and Restaurant. The winners of the 2019 NSW Tourism Awards will be announced at a dinner on November 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney. Gold Medal winners in most categories will go on to represent NSW at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Canberra in March 2020.
