Council will assess a development application for the subdivision of a parcel of land into 102 lots in Thornton.
The site is located in the Thornton North Urban Release Area and is within stage two lands in the Thornton North development control plan.
The proposed residential lots will range in size from 468 metres squared to 801 metres squared.
The application is tipped for approval subject to the construction of an intersection upgrade at Raymond Terrace Road and Government Road, Thornton.
A second development application for a smaller subdivision of land in the same area will also be reviewed by councillors.
The application is seeking council's consent to subdivide land into 22 residential lots on Raymond Terrace Road, Chisholm.
Twelve submissions were received in objection to the proposed development, 11 of which are reproductions of a pro forma letter.
Last month, a notice of motion requesting a report be presented outlining the past and present actions of Council directed toward reducing its carbon footprint and strategies that will mitigate the effects of climate change on the community
The returned report calls for councillors to acknowledge the large amount of works undertaken to date on reducing Maitland's carbon footprint and assist in the future development of a sustainability framework.
Some of the projects include the city's refit program, national tree day, community recycling centre, fridge buyback program, Maitland greening plan, Maitland schools environment plan and recycling program.
"Over a long period of time, Maitland City Council has been proactive in undertaking activities to reduce our carbon footprint," the report read.
"There is a need to develop a sustainability framework as part of the Local Strategic Planning Statements to bring this work together.
"This future work will be initiated in the new year with the key first role being to establish the order of priority of environmental issues to be undertaken."
Council will hold its meeting at Tuesday, November 26 at Maitland Town Hall.
