A spokesperson for the company said Deloitte Restructuring Services had been appointed administrators but this would not affect the local store's day-to-day business.
"Our stores and web store will be trading as usual," the spokesperson said.
"We will continue to support our customers needs in terms of returns and exchanges."
Collette by Collette Hayman is the latest casualty in a mass exodus of retailers from the market including Harris Scarfe and Curious Planet (formerly National Geographic).
Harris Scarfe announced it will soon close its Green Hills store after the organisation recently went into receivership while Curious Planet is expected to close at Green Hills within the next few weeks.
National music and entertainment chain Sanity closed both its Green Hills and Maitland stores last month.
Jeans West (which also has a store at Green Hills) announced last month that it had gone into voluntary administration however the business will continue to trade locally while administrators scurry to find a buyer for the company.
