If you think Monday and Tuesday were brisk, the rest of the week will be colder.
From Wednesday the maximum temperature for the remainder of the week and in to Monday will be 18C, with Saturday dropping to an expected 15C.
The minimums will be at their lowest on Sunday and Monday, expected to hit 4C and 3C respectively. By comparison, the lowest temperature recorded this year at Tocal was 2.6C on August 6 - so it's not far off.
What has highlighted the cold snap of recent days has been the persistent - and cold - westerly wind. That is expected to hang around for some time yet. Over the next four days the maximum wind speeds are expected to reach 32km/h, 29km/h, 26km/h and 28km/h.
There is a slight chance of rain right through to the end of the week but if it does rain, it won't be anything significant.
So rug up, and remember, it's Spring in less than two weeks.
Oh, and if you're wondering, our temperatures will seem balmy compared with Barrington. The Sunday and Monday maximums there will be 2C and 4C, but with quite strong winds it will feel like it's well below freezing. Snow is expected to fall from Thursday.
