You could be in downtown Paris easily enough, but far from it ... it's on every Friday in The Levee through October.
It's called The Very Small French Festival - the brainchild of artist Helen Hopcroft.
"It's not big, a boutique festival that is a tribute to all things French," she said.
It's probably not surprising that the local woman who dressed as Marie Antoinette for a year to raise awareness of the arts would have a soft spot for all things French.
Hopcroft says the inspiration came from her last trip to France - pre COVID-19, of course.
"Yes, you're right, I love France and thought it might be something we could try in Maitland. When I mentioned the idea to friends it quickly seemed to gain a lot of community support," she said.
There's a wide range of French themes on offer.
"We'll have pop up stalls by The French Patisserie, Maitland Library, Femme Petale and Maitland Regional Museum," she continued.
"Frank Oakes will do a puppetry class, Coquun are doing bubbles and French Onion Soup all evening, and Tranquil Vale Vineyard is hosting a wine and sourdough tasting. The team at Dennerley Leather have even built a faux guillotine.
"Plus there's live music by The Sempill Street Band and Lisa de Angelis at the Riverlink in the evening.
"It starts at 3.30pm and should be a lot if fun."
