Western Suburbs, Northern Suburbs and Windsor Castle tasted victory on Sunday and move through to next month’s semi finals.
Western Suburbs successfully chased down the 309 set by Valleys at Coronation Oval with five wickets in hand and two balls to spare.
Half centuries posted by Michael Rees (63), Josh Fisher (64) and Tim Clarke (55) ensured the hosts eventually finished ahead of the game with Luke Kealy (3-54), Rees (3-52) and Alex Seamer (3-17) the best with the ball.
The Plovers now take on the winner out of Creeks (Singleton) and Lisarow-Ourimbah (Central Coast) on December 14.
In other second round fixtures from Sunday defending champions Norths dismissed a combined Kurri-Pedans side for 90 at Abermain’s Howe Park and sealed victory one down inside 12 overs while Windsor Castle chased down the 233 posted by The Entrance with one wicket in hand and 12 overs remaining.
Jordan Callinan (45 not out) and Matthew Sugden (25 not out) were the mainstays of the innings for Norths while Alex Sagorny claimed five wickets.
Norths and Windsor Castle are now due to meet before Christmas to decide who will advance to the February 8 decider at Mulbring.
