Maxi Save Supermarket has announced it will open for business on Friday, November 2.
Staff have been busy stocking the shelves and setting up the point of sale (POS) systems in the lead-up to the launch.
The supermarket, which will operate from the former Sam’s Warehouse building in Elgin Street, sits on 1500 square metres of space and will also comprise a liquor component.
It will employ 30 people made up of full-time and casual staff and will have five checkouts.
Maxi Save spokesperson Kieran Rogers previously told The Mercury the business would carry all supermarket lines from fresh produce to meat and other food and household groceries.
Maxi Save will join Woolworths Pender Place at Aldi in the Riverside Plaza as Maitland CBD’s third supermarket.
