The stage was cut short because of safety concerns.
Spain's Joan Barreda recorded his first stage victory of 2020, with Brabec second and teammate Kevin Benavides third ahead of former Hunter rider Toby Price in fourth.
The result saw Barreda jump to third outright after finishing two minutes and 57 seconds ahead of Price.
With two stages remaining Price is 28 minutes and 33 seconds behind Brabec. Chile's Pablo Quintanilla is second 25 minutes and 44 seconds off the pace.
"Today's stage was cut short due to safety reasons, there were a lot of drops throughout the course and I guess when we're all traveling at such high speeds they do catch you out," Price posted after the stage.
"I hope there were no serious injuries today and wishing those injured competitors a fast recovery.
"The cancellation of today's stage has made it that much tougher for us to make up the time we needed.
"I was hoping to start a little further back tomorrow to make up that time but, unfortunately, that won't be happening. We're still in this race and aiming to get to the finish line strong."
Two-time Dakar Rally champion Price has clawed back two minutes on Brabec after finishing second on Tuesday's stage nine of the rally.
Price moved up to third outright and started Wednesday's marathon stage 26 minutes and 43 seconds behind Brabec.
He had been looking forward to Wednesday's 608km stage to make up time on Brabec.
There are two stages remaining in the Dakar Rally with stage 11 a marathon 744km before the rally closes with the 447km stage 12.
