Hunter Valley were all out for 72 in the 30th over with Cessnock's Jack Knight and Singleton's Alex Stafa the only batsman to reach double figures finishing with 21 and 16 respectively.
The Hunter bowlers battled hard but the total was never enough to create any pressure on the Newcastle batsman.
Singleton's Joseph Druery picked up the wicket catching Bailey Creer off his own bowling.
Kurri Weston's Emelia Kavanagh opened her spell with two maidens and finished with figures of 0-6 of 3.3 overs.

In reply North Coast were 4/44 when rain halted play in the 16th over, four overs short of a result. Ryan Golledge took 2-9 off five overs, Stafa picked up 1-9 off five and spinning all-rounder Cooper took 1-3.
In their final pool game, Hunter Valley play Norther Inland in a one-dayer at Thornton Oval on Wednesday starting at 9.30am.
Hunter Valley finished the preliminary rounds of the Under-14 Graeme Malcolm Shield in Newcastle with two wins and two losses in the Twenty20 format.
Hunter made 6/143 and dismissed ND Maroons for 22 for a 121-run win to open the tournament..
City United's Izaac Coyle was the star of the match picking up 6/7 off four overs.
Four Hunter batsman made compulsory retirements. Harry Scowen made 25, Jaxon Brooks 26, skipper Thomas Thorpe 25 and Ashton Blake 25
In their second match Hunter had a five wicket loss to Mid North Coast.
Hunter made 7/70 from their 17 overs with Scowen making 24 and Thorpe 20. Mid North Coast made 5/72 in reply with two overs to spare. Brooks took 2-11.
In game three, Hunter fell 40 runs short of Manly who batted first and made 9/106. Cooper Gageler took 3-16 and Coyle finished with 2-7. Lachlan Clydsdale and Jack Ryan top scored with 16 each.
In their final pool match, Hunter made 8/112 to defeat Northern Inland who were all out for 73. Lachlan MacIntyre with 25 and Brooks 24, both retired not out.
Rees Gibson picked up 3-11 and Ryan took 2-2 for Hunter with the ball.
