The club has been under the pump in recent weeks having the inaugural Yamaha TT Masters postponed then cancelled due to the prevailing weather.
"It's been a bit of a nightmare for us," said club secretary Maree Dall. "We've lost the opportunity to conduct a major race meeting this summer but our chins are still up and we continue to work on our final night meeting for the season.
We encourage our supporters to come along and help our club support the local people who have been affected by the bushfires and those who have worked to fight in the terrible conditions."
The race meeting will be unique in that for the first time speedway solos, speedway sidecars and speedway outlaw karts will race on the same program.
"We jumped at the chance to run under lights with other speedway divisions as well as to support the worth cause," NSW Outlaw Kart Club executive Geoff Griffin said.
Speedway sidecars will be making their first appearance this season. Major meetings have been held in South Australia, Victoria and New Zealand across summer, so local riders are grabbing the chance to use this meeting to prepare for the upcoming Australian Sidecar Championships at the end of March.
Maitland brothers Jack and Hayden Bond have entered along with Darren Café and Mark Rolla.
"The top sidecar riders have been competing in New Zealand over the past few weeks," Kurri Kurri Speedway president Peter Campton said, "but we may have a few surprises for the sidecar fans on Saturday."
Cessnock brothers Alan and Josh Macdonald have entered for the senior solo events.
It will be Josh Macdonald's final race meeting in Australia before he heads to the United Kingdom to fulfill his contract with Poole Pirates.
A grand parade will get the community event underway at 6pm with racing from 6.30pm.
