Ten of the cases were from the Newcastle Local Government Area and three were from the Lake Macquarie Local Government Area.
Hunter New England Health has confirmed 10 of the cases are linked to previously reported cases.
The source of three cases remains under investigation.
Nine of the cases are in people under the age of 30.
Hunter New England Health can no longer provide breakdowns on individual cases due to the increasing number of cases in the region.
There have now been 39 cases since the outbreak began.
There have been no additional cases in Armidale, Tamworth and the Byron area.
There were 356 cases across the state, with about one third of them infectious in the community.
There are 357 people in hospital and 60 in intensive care.
