City United's clash against Thornton at Robins Oval was called off on Saturday and Lorn Park the venue for the Western Suburbs and Kurri Weston semi-final was ruled unfit for play on Sunday morning.
After Lorn Park was officially closed by Maitland City Council for use on Saturday, a series of protocols had to be passed for it to be deemed fit for play on Sunday.
Umpires in conjunction with the two skippers checked the ground and a number of those protocols were not met leading to the ground being declared unfit for play.
Minor premiers Wests and City advanced as they were the two highest placed teams in their semi-finals.

City United has advanced to the Maitland first grade cricket grand final after play at Robins Oval in their semi-final against Thornton was ruled out for Saturday and Sunday.
Play was also ruled at Lorn Park on Saturday, but there is the still of possibility of play on Sunday in the semi-final between minor premiers Western Suburbs and Kurri Weston.
City, who finished second on the ladder, moved through to the grand final as highest finishing team.
It was a disappointing way to finish the season for Thornton who bowed out at the same stage last season after losing on the first innings on day one to eventual premiers Northern Suburbs.
Kurri Weston has advanced to the second grade grand final after their game against Northern Suburbs at Jack Collins Oval was ruled a wash-out.
Play has been ruled out on Saturday, but may still be possible at Thornton Oval on Sunday in the other second grade semi-final between minor premiers Western Suburbs and Eastern Suburbs.
Play on all turf wickets has been ruled out on Saturday in the lower grades, however, ovals with synthetic pitches may be available.
Teams in grades 3-5 and A-D grades in the one-day competition have provision to play on Sunday if no play is possible on Saturday.
If games are washed-out on both days the higher placed team advances to the next stage. In the one-day competition second and third placed teams will meet in the preliminary final to play for a spot in the grand final against the minor premiers.
